As the Assistant Stage Manager, I facilitate crew deck communication by creating shift narratives and prop tracking documents while also collaborating with the wardrobe department to develop key materials like the Who/What/Where. Since this is a brand-new musical premiering at Texas Tech, I’ve gained invaluable insight into the new work development process—learning how edits are distributed and seeing firsthand how quickly a production can evolve. We've had the privilege of working closely with the playwright, gaining significant insight into the show's conception and creative process. This experience has been especially meaningful to me due to the incorporation of sensory-friendly and ASL-interpreted performances, which make the production more accessible to a diverse range of audiences.
